The apprenticeship program, based in Esperance will provide training, mentorship and supervision from highly experienced Tradespeople with the opportunity to learn and succeed in a friendly, team orientated environment.

 

We are committed to the successful completion of your Apprenticeship.  As an integral part of our team, you will assist in carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance and repairs to bulk handling equipment, which includes elevators, conveyors, fixed and portable machinery. You will also be required to complete basic administrative tasks that are aligned to the maintenance function.

 

Skills and Experience

  • If a career in Electrical Maintenance is of interest to you, you’ll need to have:
  • Valid ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence
  • Strong work ethic and initiative
  • Attention to detail and a strong desire to learn
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong interest and passion for mechanical work
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Ability to work at heights in confined spaces and in areas with high grain dust concentrations
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills including MS office with an interest in computerised systems
  • Be Willing to travel to and occasionally stay at our regional receival sites

 

Previous participation in a pre-vocational training program, such as a pre-apprenticeship or Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start - A114) is desirable.
