The role

The CBH Group is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and motivated Business Relationship Manager to support the Merredin Region on a fixed term contract for parental leave cover until December 2022.

Reporting to the National Accumulations Manager, the position will be responsible for managing their own workload. The successful candidate will frequently liaise with the Group’s personnel in Perth and with other Business Relationship Managers in WA and Eastern Australia.


Key responsibilities

The position is responsible for grain accumulation activities within the Merredin Region, including:


  • Grain acquisition activities including provision of sales and information services to grain industry participants within the assigned region
  • Regular contact with growers on farm in order to understand their business and identify opportunities for creating value specific to their individual needs
  • Promotion of CBH Group’s grain marketing suite of products including financial services.
  • Reporting on conditions of current crops and trends in agronomic practices
  • Undertaking public relations activities as required
  • Sales management of CBH Fertiliser products within region.
  • Management of CBH Financial Products and Services within region.
    Skills and experience
    Applicants will need to demonstrate:
  • Understanding of grain grower business cycles
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly developed relationship management and influencing skills
  • Customer service focus
  • Sound computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office
  • Familiarity with grain accumulation products
  • Previous sales experience in Agricultural markets (Fertiliser, Finance, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and market products
  • Understanding of grain production trends, issues and opportunities
  • Tertiary qualifications in Agribusiness, Business or Finance
  • RG146 (AFSL) Generic Knowledge
