We are currently looking for a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at our Kwinana Grain Terminal on a working Monday to Friday on a full-time, permanent basis. 

 

Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for leading a team of trades that  execute all maintenance work within the Kwinana Grain Terminal.  This will include, but is not limited to all Engineering activities, repair, planning, reporting and modifications. 

 

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the key deliverables for the role are:  

  • Supervise & support a diverse Maintenance team consisting of fitters, fabricators, scaffolders, rope access & civil work crews. 

  • Provide direct leadership and guidance to the trades personnel, including personnel performance review and development.  

  • Work closely with the Maintenance Planner to prioritise work requests and develop the weekly maintenance schedules.  

  • Support the maintenance team and contractors to execute the schedules safely and in a disciplined manner, ensuring that maintenance activities are recorded consistently and accurately in a timely manner.  

  • Monitor and drive strict adherence to maintenance work management principles (schedule loading, percent planned work, adherence to schedule, number of breakdowns etc) 

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of preventive maintenance plans 

  • Mobilise resources to respond to equipment related plant stoppages as quickly and safely as possible with minimum impact to the weekly maintenance schedule 

 

Our ideal candidate is a result driven individual who has the desire to work collaboratively to achieve great outcomes, along with: 

  • Mechanical trade qualification and relevant industry experience  

  • Strong safety focus with an understanding of and health legislation and its application 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, mentor and develop a team.   

  • Able to demonstrate excellent time management and planning skills 

  • Ability to set maintenance work management and execution standards, and to hold teams and contractors to these standards. 

  • Experience with computer based planned maintenance systems and procedures. 

  • A understanding of budgets and cost management is advantageous 

  • SAP experience essential 

  • MSIC Clearance beneficial 

  • Experience in Civil Structural & Wharf/Marine maintenance beneficial
