The role

The Manager – Area 4 is responsible for leading the operations team at CBH receival sites and storage and handling facilities to ensure that the required levels of grain is received and stored within the CBH network.


Key deliverables include:

  • Being familiar with and work within the boundaries of CBH safe systems of work and proactively assisting to improve them.
  • Monitoring and managing the performance of personnel on site. 
  • Providing coaching, mentoring, feedback, and guidance to personnel on site. 
  • Coordinating the planning, rostering, resourcing, and scheduling of personnel to meet site operational requirements.
  • Building, growing, and maintaining positive relationships with growers, customers, and contractors.
  • Planning and monitoring the allocation of personnel and equipment and machinery to ensure site targets are achieved.



The role will be mainly based in Wongan Hills. However, regular travel across the area is expected. Area 4 includes Watheroo, Miling, Bindi Bindi, Moora, Piawaning, Mogumber and Regans Ford.


About you

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum five years’ experience working in an operational environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team.
  • Proven ability to plan and communicate effectively.
  • Proven commitment to a ‘safety first’ culture.
  • Competent in the use of the Microsoft suite.
  • Experience in the grain handling industry and exposure to operations storage and quality management systems (desirable but not essential).
