The Role
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive team member to take on a critical role in supporting our grain quality operations.
In this role, you'll be responsible for creating composite samples such as reference materials used to ensure the accuracy of grain quality testing equipment. You’ll also manage the logistics of sending and receiving packages and help coordinate the movement of goods and grain samples.
This is a permanent part-time position, working a minimum 24-32 hours per week, based at the Australian Grain Centre in Forrestfield.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring reference material produced comply with NMI and NATA regulations
- Produce sufficient number of reference materials (Density and NIR) to supply internal and external customers
- Verify Grain quality sampling equipment, in accordance to National Measurement Institute (NMI) Test procedure
- Ensure all tasks are carried out in a timely manner, aligning to set priorities
About you:
- Previous experience utilising grain quality instrumentation
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Be able to work unsupervised and meet set deadlines
- Current forklift licence
- Previous laboratory experience including NATA (desired)
- NMI Service licence – NIR, Grain Density (desired)
