The Role 


Senior Specialist  – Corporate Improvement will partner with the corporate support functions and IT team, to develop and implement improved operating systems and processes that drive efficiency in service delivery.  The role will also enable delivery of outcomes by our support functions through streamlined and simplified operating processes and procedures, leveraging of process improvement tools and robotic process automation technology to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of CBH’s support functions.  


Key Responsibilities 


  • Identify process improvement opportunities across the CBH support functions (People and Culture, Legal and Risk, Grower and External Relations and Finance)  through structured workshops using Lean techniques  

  • Assist the support functions in defining technology enabled improvement opportunities  

  • Develop use cases for the leveraging of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) across CBH 

  • Engage with appropriate stakeholders to understand requirements and constraints and build understanding and commitment to optimised operating processes & systems.  

  • Educate and support process owners around capabilities of digital process improvement  

  • Partner with IT technical specialists in the design and implementation of business solutions 


Skills and Experience 




  • Tertiary qualification in commerce or related discipline 

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role 

  • Ability to effectively engage and hold discussions with senior managers and leaders 

  • Critical thinker who can assess and solve complex problems 

  • Able to effectively plan and manage multiple priorities and activities in line with time and budget commitments. 

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver both tactical and larger scale IT enabled process improvements 

  • Competent in financial and operating analysis and interpreting common financial and operations reports. 

  • Demonstrated ability to plan for and effectively implement change. 

  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to create buy-in and engagement from diverse stakeholder groups, with the ability to effectively challenge embedded beliefs 




  • Qualified / certified Lean, Six Sigma or similar practitioner 

  • Previous experience in export commodity supply chain environment 

  • Sound knowledge and exposure to RPA and other various types of technologies 

  • Knowledge and exposure to SAP ER, Power BI or similar analytics and reporting tools.
