The Role
Step into a pivotal role as Specialist – Weighing Systems, ensuring CBH weighing equipment is properly maintained, verified and compliant with legislation and operational standards. Based at the Australian Grain Centre in Forrestfield, you’ll provide technical oversight of weighbridges, batch weighers and related automation systems, coordinating internal teams and external contractors to manage design updates, maintenance, upgrades and fault resolution.
Working closely with Operations, Project Development and IT, the position helps prioritise work, minimise operational disruption and support the development of procedures, training and control systems.
Responsibilities include:
- Scheduling and overseeing annual maintenance, servicing, repairs and verification of weighing equipment in line with relevant legislation
- Providing technical support and guidance on the design, modification, operation, maintenance, calibration and verification of weighing systems
- Supporting the standardisation and deployment of new or upgraded weighing solutions across the network
- Coordinating with contractors to optimise maintenance and verification programs and reduce execution costs
About You:
- Relevant tertiary or trade qualification and/ or previous experience in related industry (electrical highly advantageous)
- Significant experience developing schedules or maintenance plans
- Experience in contractor management and Governance
- Exposure to SAP maintenance management systems (highly advantageous)
Desirable
- Practical experiences with the installation of instrumentation
- Expertise in weighing system equipment
- Sound understanding in current National Trade Measurement regulations and Acts
