We have grown from humble roots into one of the world’s largest and most efficient grain supply chains, delivering millions of tonnes of quality Western Australian grain into the hands of customers around the world each year.

Our storage and handling system currently receives and exports around 90 per cent of the Western Australian grain harvest and is regarded as one of the best in the world. We in-load via our own in-house design screw conveyor pits, bucket elevators, ground conveyors, trippers, and stackers into multiple storage types. We strive to continually improve our equipment from site feedback, and we have a strong pipeline of work that focuses on out-loading with multiple new rail loading facilities and expansions of our existing receival sites.

The Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Tradesperson to join our Metro Grain Centre maintenance team. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role will aim to provide preventative and corrective maintenance on our bulk handling equipment.

 

This is a full-time permanent day shift position based in Forrestfield, consisting of a Monday to Friday roster. 

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Preventative and corrective maintenance and repairs to bulk handling equipment, including elevators, conveyors, fixed and portable machinery.

  • Complete basic administrative tasks that are aligned with the maintenance function using SAP.

 

About you:

  • Trade Certificate in Mechanical or related discipline

  • A positive attitude and works well in a team

  • Hold an unrestricted Driver's Licence (HR desired)

  • Work at heights, in confined spaces and in areas of high dust concentration

  • Experience using SAP or other similar software

  • High Risk Work Card, DG, CV, LF and WP (desired)
