Maintenance Planner - Esperance

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Esperance Maintenance team. The role has a clear focus on strengthening our maintenance requirements, ensuring they are planned and resourced efficiently for execution, and in compliance with Work-Safe and Australian Standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all planned maintenance work is resourced and scheduled accurately and efficiently which includes responsibility to ensure effective communication with Operations & Maintenance teams to set routine maintenance plans, plant access and budget requirements

  • Auditing, maintaining and initiating changes to master data within the CBH maintenance management system (SAP PM) and preparing reports

  • Analysing trends in inspections and condition monitoring to advise stakeholders of emergent work 

  • Liaising with contractors to organise and execute scheduled maintenance beyond the capabilities of the local maintenance crew

  • Develop weekly maintenance schedule for mechanical , electrical, mobile and civil work groups

  • Chair the weekly planning and scheduling meeting

  • Ensure corrective actions arising from hazards identified in in the CBH “Share” system are executed in a timely manner

  • Forecasting planned maintenance activities for routine maintenance of CBH infrastructure

  • Directing the establishment of inventory requirements and bills of materials for equipment

  • Liaising with Maintenance and Operations personnel on work priorities and allocation to maintenance and contractor teams

  • Providing support and guidance to CBH personnel in the use of the SAP Plant Maintenance module.

  • Reporting on compliance to schedules, forward-log and performance of work management processes

  • Ensuring all work orders, material purchasing and history of maintenance work are captured accurately in SAP

 

Skills and Experience

  • Trade qualifications in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience

  • 5 years’ experience in a planning role

  • Demonstrated practical working knowledge of materials handling systems and equipment and general knowledge of diesel plant and equipment

  • Previous Experience scheduling mechanical, electrical, diesel and civil works

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of corrective and preventative maintenance

  • Demonstrated experience in planning and applying planning and scheduling principles

  • Highly organised and able to prioritise activities effectively combined with advanced written and verbal communication skills

  • High level of knowledge/demonstrated experience in maintenance planning and scheduling functions within SAP PM, highly desirable knowledge on integration with SAP MM and FI/CO modules

  • Competent in use of Microsoft office suite of programs
