Plant Operator - Esperance Terminal

The Role 

This permanent role requires an individual with high regard for the safety of their colleagues and themselves. 

 

Our Operations run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and Plant Operators work shift patterns of four 12 hour shifts on, two day, two nights then four days off. 

 

Skills and Experience 

Our Plant Operators work in a range of functions including grain sampling and receivals, plant hygiene, control room operations and fumigation management as well as preparing grain for shipping whilst at all times focussing on safety, quality assurance and continuous improvement. Physically, the role involves bending, stretching, climbing ladders, some computer data entry, working in confined spaces, at heights and in a hot and dusty environment. 

 

Possession of a current MR or HR class driver’s license is essential. 

 

Experience working in a team focused environment in the grain handling industry, combined with basic computer skills would be highly advantageous. Possesion of FEL and EWP tickets will also be highly regarded.  

 

Any offer of employment will be subject to the outcome of a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol testing. To be successful in this role, you will need to reside in Esperance or in a nearby area. This position does not offer FIFO or DIDO.
