The Role
Are you passionate about coaching others and driving operational excellence? We’re looking for a motivated and experienced individual to step into the role of In-Zone Trainer, supporting Receival Point Operators (RPOs) across the Esperance Zone.
This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality training and assessments, including Verification of Competency (VOCs) and Observation Assessments (OAs), while also contributing to the development and continuous improvement of training materials in collaboration with the Culture and Capability team.
Location: Esperance, with travel required across the zone – tool of trade vehicle supplied
Roster: Monday to Friday
Responsibilities include:
- Deliver training and assessments (VOCs and OAs) for Receival Point Operators (RPOs)
- Provide on-the-job coaching and feedback to support RPO development in conjunction with Area Managers to close competency gaps
- Collaborate with HSE to review and develop safe work instructions and aligning work instructions to training collateral
- Provide subject matter expertise to develop and update training materials, ensuring alignment with current practices through collaboration with the Culture & Capability team
- Monitor the effectiveness & quality of external training providers
About You:
You’re a confident communicator and experienced operator who’s passionate about helping others grow.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or working towards it)
- Completed field-based, competency-based training and assessment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and manage your own travel, schedule
- Ability to clearly and effectively conveying information to a group or individual, with strong interpersonal skills
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the agriculture industry.
- Valid C class driver’s licence and willingness to travel
Desirable:
- Experience as a Senior RPO, Plant Operator, or in Grain Protection
- Familiarity with CBH systems (SHARE, IBIS, GRFE)
- ICAM Lead Investigator training
