Operational Role – Be home every night


CBH Group’s Metro Grain Centre based in Forrestfield, 20 minutes from the Perth CBD is looking for a full-time dynamic Maintenance Planner to help lead change and build the Maintenance team to achieve best practice operational maintenance, planning and execution. 


This role is crucial to the operation of the site, responsible for the planning and scheduling of all maintenance work and ensuring that work can be executed safety, effectively and efficiently.


Key duties include:

  • Accurately and efficiently plan and schedule maintenance work in line with the CBH work management systems.
  • Effectively collaborate with the Operations and Maintenance teams as well as contractors to set work priorities, forecast routine maintenance plans, plant access and budget requirements.
  • Build site awareness and ongoing education for all staff regarding maintenance plans, plant access and budget requirements.
  • Analyse trends in inspections and condition monitoring to advise of emergent work.
  • Ensure data integrity in the SAP system is maintained for all work planned and carried out.
  • Assist the Maintenance Superintendent and MGC Manager in developing and managing site capital and operational maintenance budgets.
  • Identify and analyse reasons for gaps between targeted and actual performance metrics. 


As an ideal candidate you will have:

  • Excel in a collaborative team environment and working with others from diverse skill-sets and backgrounds.
  • Be a people person, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role, preferable in a large operational site.
  • Trade qualifications in Mechanical, Electrical or Project Management.
  • Experience and proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel).
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise, plan and schedule work packages and effective problem solving
  • A high level of attention to detail
