The Role

We are seeking a safety focused individual to join our hardworking team as an Electrical Tradesperson in the Merredin Regional Area on a permanent basis.

 

Electrical Tradespeople are responsible for:

  • Preventative and corrective maintenance on fixed and portable machinery
  • Diagnosing and fault-finding PLC controlled equipment, which includes but not limited to elevators and conveyors, trippers and dust systems.
  • Completing basic administrative tasks to manage the maintenance function

 

Standard shifts are working Monday to Friday; however, you may be required to work on the weekends or additional hours over the busy harvest period.

 

Location

This role, based in the Merredin Regional Area is located approximately 260km from Perth. You will be required to live in a nearby community that offers a relaxed country lifestyle.

 

About You

You are passionate about working for a Co-Operative that is creating and returning value to our Growers and prioritise Safety and the overall well-being of your team.

 

You will:

  • Exhibit a strong dedication to prioritising safety
  • Possess a current WA Electrical Workers License
  • Possess an unrestricted Drivers Licence
  • Possess demonstrated experience in fixed plant maintenance, diagnostics and problem solving
  • Excel in a team orientated environment and communicate professionally
  • Bend, stretch, lift, climb and be deemed physically fit in accordance with the CBH operational worker pre-employment medical
  • Be willing to live in remote or regional country locations
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and continually strive to exceed expectations
  • Work extended and unpredictable hours depending on Harvest and grain out-loading
  • Work at heights, confined spaces and in areas with high grain dust concentrations
  • Possess intermediate computer skills
  • Display the desire and willingness to learn and accept new challenges
     

Possession of the following will be desired:

  • HR or MR Drivers Licence
  • Confined Space Ticket
  • Current hazardous area installation certification
  • Working at Heights Ticket
  • Senior First Aid Certificate
  • HV Switching Ticket
  • Experience in PLC Unity and Proworx N.X.T
  • Experience in operating SAP Maintenance modules, automation and PLC control systems
