The Role
Join the team as a Coordinator – Shipping Executions and help drive the success of the Container Export Program, ensuring the right cargo is delivered to the right place at the right time. Reporting to the Manager – Chartering, this role will oversee the preparation, verification and distribution of shipping documentation, sample dispatch, contracts and regulatory compliance.
Based in the Perth Head Office, this is a part-time position offering 24 hours per week on a 10-month fixed-term contract, ideal for someone looking to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic logistics environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee the preparation, verification, and distribution of shipping documentation for bulk and container grain exports, both pre- and post-shipment
- Assist in planning and executions of CBH Grain Container Shipping activities
- Coordinate the collection and dispatch of shipping samples
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to container documentation
- Review Letters of Credit and document instructions for container and bulk shipments; manage export sales contracts, appoint independent surveyors and facilitate banking negotiations for LCs
- Ensure compliance with government export regulations, including Customs and DAFF requirements, executing all necessary tasks before and after shipment
About You:
- Minimum 1 year experience in Export Shipping (container and/or bulk)
- Degree in Supply Chain Management or a shipping related discipline, ICS Qualifications (desired)
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels, with strong relationship and negotiation skills
- Experience navigating Microsoft office suite, including strong Excel skills
- Exposure to BSM (desired)
