The Role 

Are you a skilled HR professional ready to make a meaningful impact?  

 

We’re looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, based in Perth CBD with occasional travel to regional WA.  

 

Reporting to the Manager – Human Resources, in this role, you’ll work closely with leaders across the Operations Division, helping shape strong people leadership through practical coaching and strategic advice.  

 

You’ll play a key role in aligning HR initiatives with business goals—supporting everything from team structure and succession planning to employee relations, performance and discipline management, policy interpretation, engagement strategies, and change management. 

 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Coach and advise leaders on talent development, retention, and effective performance management, including disciplinary procedures 

  • Provide strategic guidance on structuring teams for success and future growth 

  • Ensure people management processes are widely applied and understood, while meeting legal compliance requirements 

  • Support leaders in fostering a high-performing and engaged workforce 

  • Work as a part of your stakeholders’ management team, building a deep understanding of their business strategy and operations to provide support that is simple, efficient and supports the delivery of business outcomes 

  • Contribute to HR initiatives that drive business outcomes and workforce effectiveness 

  • Be involved in recruitment processes to ensure they are conducted in a timely and efficient manner to minimise impacts 

 

About You: 

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR or a related field, along with solid experience in a business partnering role 

  • Proven ability to coach and support leaders in building strong people management skills  

  • Strong working knowledge of HR principles and confidence applying them in everyday situations 

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and guide senior stakeholders  

  • Skilled in facilitating workshops on employee engagement, succession planning, workforce strategy, and employee relations 

  • Well-versed in workplace legislation and how it applies in day-to-day HR decisions 

Desirable:  

  • Competent in use of SAP HCM modules and Success Factors
