The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Manager with Operational Safety experience to join the CBH Group and take safety to the next level. Working closely with the Operations Senior Leadership Team, your key focus areas will be the provision of safety leadership, coaching, risk assessment, incident investigation, monitoring overall safety performance and technical support on all safety and health related matters.

Based in Perth, and reporting to the Head of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE), you will play a key role in leading the CBH HSE strategy and promoting and driving improved safety culture and performance within the CBH business.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide technical support and coaching in areas including but not limited to: safety leadership, coaching, training, legislative compliance, risk assessment, incident investigation, safety change management and staff safety and health communications
• Provide input and technical support to the development of the CBH HSE strategy, ensuring Operations interests are represented
• Provide leadership on high risk activities associated with Operations and capital projects, including monitoring contractor safety and health performance

About You:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Occupational Safety and Health
• Minimum 5 years experience in a safety and health role. Demonstrated experience in the application of rail safety is highly regarded
• C Class Drivers License and a Cert IV Workplace Training & Assessment will be highly regarded
• High level of interpersonal skills
• Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities
• Experience in safety leadership coaching and mentoring
• Demonstrated knowledge, understanding of safety and health legislation and its application
