Our storage and handling system currently receives and exports around 90 per cent of the Western Australian grain harvest and is regarded as one of the best in the world. We in-load via our own in-house design screw conveyor pits, bucket elevators, ground conveyors, trippers, and stackers into multiple storage types. We strive to continually improve our equipment from site feedback, and we have a strong pipeline of work that focuses on out-loading with multiple new rail loading facilities and expansions of our existing receival sites.

The Role 

 

As the Specialist - Payroll, in this role you will work closely with the broader People and Culture team, providing accurate & efficient processing of the weekly payroll for approximately 1700 employees, including timely preparation and distribution of salaries and wages and assisting in maintaining pay records, time keeping data and statistics, leave records and other payroll related data and information. 

 

This is a permanent full time position based in the Perth CBD.  

 

Responsibilities include:  

  • Interpretation and guidance on payroll legislation, Enterprise Agreements, policies and procedures 

  • Ensuring payroll data is accurately processed, including deductions, timesheets, allowances and terminations  

  • Weekly end to end payroll processing  

  • Participate in system testing & configuration changes/process improvements 

  • Reconciliation and remittance of weekly deductions  

  • Prepare reports for month-end and other ad hoc processes 

  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure employee deductions and third party vendor payments are processed correctly 

 

About You

  • Prior demonstrated experience, processing end to end payroll 

  • Working knowledge of current payroll practices 

  • The ability to interpret enterprise agreements and relevant legislation 

  • Experience using a large payroll system – SAP experience preferred 

  • Highly organised with ability to handle multiple priorities  

  • A collaborative team player with a strong focus on continuous improvement and growth
