Senior Specialist - Cost Control

The Role 

As the Senior Specialist - Cost Control, you'll provide the financial expertise that keeps projects on track. Supporting cost management, forecasting, reporting and financial analysis, you'll work closely with Project Managers to deliver strong commercial outcomes and support the successful execution of key projects. 

Responsibilities include: 

• Prepare and analyse cost reports, forecasts, variances and risks to support project and portfolio decision-making. 

• Manage project funding appropriations in SAP, partnering with Delivery Teams, Finance and Commercial. 

• Maintain contract pricing schedules and cost data within project cost management systems. 

• Support project controls compliance, reporting standards and data quality across Delivery Teams. 

• Coordinate project change control activities, including budget and forecast updates in cost systems and reports. 

About You: 

• Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Project Controls, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. 

• Proven experience in cost control, project accounting, or project controls support within a Project Owner's Team or EPCM environment. 

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to analyse and interpret complex project data. 

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. 

• Familiarity with SAP and CMS (desired).

• Experience with Microsoft Power BI and Power Query (desired).
