The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Specialist - Electrical Engineering to join our team on a full-time permanent basis, located in the Perth CBD.

Reporting to the Manager – Project Delivery (Electrical), you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of our projects by offering expert technical advice, responding to technical queries, reviewing contractor documentation, and assisting with site commissioning.

In addition, you’ll provide specialist electrical & engineering support to the Electrical Project Management team, helping to keep our critical infrastructure running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop detailed design deliverables according to specified deadlines and project schedules.

• Outsource engineering work where required, by developing high quality scopes of work and effectively managing a tender process.

• Provide specialist engineering advice to support operations, projects and business planning activities.

• Perform site inspections throughout the CBH network to troubleshoot problems, inspect construction works or participate in commissioning activities.

• Lead and implement safety in design practices, including leading and participating in multi-discipline design reviews, risk workshops and HAZOPs.

About You:

• Tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering with at least 10 years’ experience

• Proven ability to interpret electrical engineering principles, theories and concepts and apply them to achieve practical outcomes.

• Demonstrated commitment to a safety culture and previous positive performances on complex brownfield and greenfield sites with regards to Safety in Design principles and HAZID/OP participation experience.

• Experience in the investigation and analysis of complex electrical engineering problems including technical report writing.

• Sound knowledge of Australian Standards, codes of practice, and regulations

• Ability to undertake site travel as needed
