The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Specialist – Environment and Sustainability to join our team on a 12 Month Fixed Term basis, located in the Perth CBD.

 

Reporting to the Manager – Environment & Sustainability, you’ll take ownership of environmental programs and provide strategic guidance across our Operations Division. You’ll be instrumental in securing project approvals and ensuring compliance with environmental standards.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide support in environmental management, approvals, reporting and compliance.
  • Document and Data Control: annual HSEQ Integrated Management system document updates and development, for example Environmental Management Standard, Asbestos Management Plan, Water Quality Management Plan.
  • Assist with annual ISO 14001 audit and IMS risk review processes.
  • Provide technical guidance to the Operations Division for key sustainability programs such as water capture and reuse, and waste management.     
  • Manage specialised contractors and consultants to ensure environmental referrals and applications are complete and in line with CBH’s values.

 

About You:

  • Environmental Science/Management and/or Sustainability degree qualification and/or 3-5 years’ experience in similar HSE role/s.
  • In depth understanding of HSEQ accreditation requirements and management systems, such as ISO14001.
  • Experience with Environmental Impact Assessments, including conducting or reviewing Biological Surveys and Native Vegetation Clearing Permit Documentation.
