About the role
This Permanent Full Time position plays a key role in ensuring compliance with CBH’s Integrated Management System (IMS) and Quality Certification standards, while supporting the maintenance of CBH’s Risk Management Framework. Based at our Head Office in Perth CBD, the role also involves travel to operational sites across WA for scheduled audits.
Responsibilities include:
- Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support CBH Group’s strategic objectives through risk and assurance activities.
- Contributing to the implementation and maintenance of the Group’s IMS assurance plan and Quality Certification plan.
- Conducting audits and follow-ups across CBH’s network, reviewing systems, processes, and operational activities.
- Coordinating IMS effectiveness reviews and presenting key findings to management.
- Driving improvements in IMS assurance activities to ensure ongoing relevance and value.
- Performing internal audits to ensure compliance with standards such as ISO9001, ISO14001, HACCP, ISCC, FEMAS, and Heavy Vehicle Accreditations.
- Facilitating certification audits conducted by external bodies and managing the end-to-end process.
- Conducting audits related to Maritime Security.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective adherence to certifications and management systems compliance.
About You:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in HSE Systems or a related role.
- Proven experience maintaining Quality Management Systems, including ISO9001, ISO14001, and HACCP.
- Strong background in conducting internal or external audits.
- Self-motivated with a passion for driving improvement in risk reduction through analytical and structured approaches.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Ability to manage cross-functional issues and drive resolutions.
- Highly developed verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability.
- Skilled in facilitating meetings and workshops.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
Beneficial:
- Degree or diploma in Commerce, Business, Auditing, Risk Management, or Occupational Health and Safety.
- Lead Auditor qualification or certifications in ISO9001/14001, ISO31000:2018, HACCP, and/or AS4801/45000.
- Experience in food safety, rail safety, heavy vehicle, maritime security, and dangerous goods.
- Exposure to heavy industry environments.
