Tradesperson - Diesel Fitter - Wongan Hills

The CBH Group is looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and highly motivated Diesel Fitter committed to providing quality service to CBH country receival sites.


The Role

Based out of Wongan Hills, you will be responsible for monitoring and carrying out planned maintenance and attending to breakdowns. You will enjoy working in a team and happy to travel to remote locations with minimum supervision. This is a permanent role working in a small team and you must be prepared to work occasional weekends, in particular over the busy harvest period.


Key Responsibilities

As an integral part of our team, you will carry out planned maintenance on fixed and mobile equipmentand attend breakdowns on front end loaders, diesel alternators, bobcats, MLSs, road sweepers and similar. You will also be required to complete basic administrative tasks that are aligned to the maintenance function.


Skills and Experience


  • Trade qualifications in heavy duty mechanics or heavy duty diesel mechanics with auto electricals skills
  • Sound working knowledge and diagnostic skills on diesel motors, hydraulic systems and air conditioning
  • HR class driver’s licence
  • Ability to work at heights and confined spaces
  • Excellent communication skills


  • Airconditioning accreditation 
  • Experience in Mechanical Fitting 
  • Sound welding and fabricating skills


Possession of a current High Risk Work Card, DG,CV,LF, WP or RB would be considered favourable.


To add to your success, you will have experience using a computerised management system (SAP) and the ability to diagnose mechanical problems on equipment, devise solutions and perform rectification work.
