HARVEST RECRUITMENT
Be part of WA’s grain harvest
Working as a CBH harvest casual is a great opportunity to explore, live, work and immerse yourself in regional Western Australia (WA) for a short period of time while earning decent wages.
CBH manages sites all across regional WA where our growers deliver their grain once it has been harvested, and each year we recruit a pool of harvest employees to help us keep these sites moving, getting growers and transporters in and out safely, quickly and back to harvesting.
Here’s a bit about what you need to know:
- With locations spanning from Geraldton to Esperance and out to Merredin, your work may be remote, as far as 100km from the nearest town.
- The season usually commences in October and generally lasts up to six weeks, however it is important to note that all seasons are different and are dependent on many factors including weather and timing of when growers commence harvest.
- While hours can be long and up to 12 hours per day and in some cases working 6 days out of a 7 day period, this is a great opportunity for people looking to make decent money in a short period of time
- We have free, basic accommodation available at our receival sites
- Conditions can be very hot and dry with grain dust around
- Keen to work with your friend, partner or family member? While there is no guarantee that we can place you together, we recommend that you nominate the same zone and site as your friend/partner/family member when completing your application
- No experience? No worries! We provide training and have roles suitable to different levels of experience
- Applications for our 2023/24 season open on 3rd July 2023.
